Sales Consultant EPM, Sweden

Position summary

Oracle is a recognized leader in Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and offers a comprehensive product portfolio that includes query and reporting tools and pre-built analytical and enterprise performance management applications.

The EPM/BI Sales Consulting organization is seeking an experienced and independent-minded presales consultant (SC) to help grow the EPM and BI business. This presales position will service the EPM Application business in the Nordic Cluster (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden), and the preferred candidate is from Sweden.

SC will demonstrate the credibility of Oracle's EPM products and solutions (etc. Proof of Concepts), at all levels, but with a particular focus on board members and other key decision makers in the customers' organization. In addition to this the SC educating customers and partners in Oracle Product offering and Value Propositions in the designated product areas.


Main activities

  • Understands the needs and pains of the customer and is able to link them to a set of products/solutions provided by Oracle.
  • Provide product demos and presentations, also interactively – i.e. without a pre-defined script, & answering questions & demonstrating ‘how’ an issue could be solved or to articulate, update and evangelize Oracle based technical and product solutions.
  • To respond to demand from Account Management for expertise in creating detailed technical and product solutions for specified needs. 
  • To work as part of Account Teams on specific opportunities to enhance revenue for Oracle Corporation through license sales. Can participate in strategic account planning, and can do this for major accounts where required. 
  • Providing buyable solutions in Sales Campaigns as requested. 
  • Provides detailed expertise in creating technical and product solutions for specified needs and for creating cross-product solutions where required. 
  • Contribute technical and product information in response to Invitations To Tender (ITT) and Requests For Information (RFIs).
  • Create, present and deliver meetings/presentations/seminars and events as required. Etc. run seminars and workshops for Partner organizations as required.
  • Engage with Product teams to maintain product knowledge. Represent Oracle at marketing events as required.
  • Act as a technical/solution contact for customers in the designated area.
  • Understand the local competitive landscape from product area point of view.
  • Participate and contribute to PC community work and cross lob co-operation.
  • Maintain awareness of all relevant competitive products.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Collaborate with other presales teams to drive business results, enhance win rates and better customer propositions.
  • Building and maintaining relevant relationships with the customer during the bid process. 
  • Help pushing Oracle's product offering to the Market.
  • Recognize and communicate opportunities to up-sell based on solutions insight.
  • Ensuring the Presales team and specified groups have up-to-date and relevant product knowledge in the designated product areas.

Salary

Knowledge and experience required

  • May have project lead role
  • 5 years of vendor experience or costumer experience using Hyperion products. 
  • 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system through knowledge of system and application design
  • Product focused (Enterprise Performance Management Applications), with in-depth knowledge of key processes (planning, control, financial reporting)
  • Knowledge of and experience with PM & BI products such as Oracle (Hyperion), Cognos, Business Objects, SAP, SAS, Microsoft
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills-able to articulate key messages very clearly
  • BS degree or equivalent: advanced degree desirable
  • A pro-active attitude and a bias for action
  • Knowledge of the finance domain in commercial organizations
  • Can take a senior role on account, solution or industry teams, where required 
  • Ability to travel as needed

Fluent in Swedish and English
